A Soft Phone is software that turns your desktop or laptop PC into an IP-based telephone.  Our easy to use Soft Phone offers high quality voice calls and offers features such as, account balance information,  rate per minute for entered phone number (displayed before the call), maximum duration for the call, timer (showing real time as it elapses), and phone book stored on the server’s side, audio wizard.

In order to communicate, your computer must be equiped with a headset with a microphone or a set of speakers and a microphone.


How it works:

1)       Download the installation package and simply run it.

2)       After installation, an icon named SIPLink will be created on your desktop and in thr Programs Menu.  Click the icon to start the Softphone.

3)       Enter your username and password in the appropriate fields on the login screen.

4)       To make a call, enter a phone number without any leading 00, just country code and number e.g. 592271985 where 592 is the country code of Guyana.  Click the green phone icon to dial the number.

Fees:

The cost per call will depend on the destination country you are calling and is subject to Ameravoice’s rates.

Note: The Softphone can make/receive calls from behind NAT and firewall systems thanks to our proprietary VOIP tunnel technology.
